The Hamburg Flyers RC Club has scheduled their 19th Annual Radio Controlled Air Show for Saturday, August 12, 2023 (rain date August 19) beginning at 12:00 noon. The Model Aviation Day Air Show will take place at the Bennett Park airfield located at Manly Bennett Park - East on Merrill Rd in Hamburg Township. Gates open at 11:30 am with the show beginning at noon. Crowds will be entertained by RC pilots from around the area for two hours. Take offs, spins, smoke, dips, turns, daring tricks, and landings are among the thrills to be witnessed.
At the conclusion of the show, spectators (young and not so young) will be invited to try their hand at radio controlled flying. Experienced pilots will instruct those interested utilizing a Hamburg Flyer’s plane aided with a ‘buddy box’ controller. The air show and buddy box flying are FREE of charge!!!
