This holiday season, Wharton Center in East Lansing is bringing a burst of color, music, and magic to the stage with The Wiz—and it’s a show your whole family will love! From December 9–14, audiences will be swept away by this vibrant reimagining of The Wizard of Oz.
With a soulful soundtrack packed with gospel, funk, and rock, The Wiz transforms Dorothy’s journey into a high-energy celebration of courage, friendship, and finding your way home. The sets are dazzling, the choreography electric, and the message timeless—making it the perfect introduction to live theater for kids ages 5 and up.
Whether your children already know the story of Dorothy and her yellow brick road or are discovering it for the first time, The Wiz offers a fresh, joyful take that will have everyone dancing in their seats and talking about it long after the curtain falls.
