What if your child’s favorite summer memory starts at a horse barn?

By Jenn, Owner Hell Creek Ranch June 10, 2025

Do you remember going to camp as a kid? The friendships, the fresh air, the new experiences that gave you confidence and independence?

Now imagine your child getting that same feeling—with the added magic of horses.

At Hell Creek Equestrian Center in Pinckney, we specialize in beginner-friendly horseback riding and horsemanship programs designed just for kids and families who are new to horses. You don’t need boots, gear, or any previous experience—just a sense of adventure and a love of animals.

Hi, I’m Jenn—barn owner, riding instructor, and lifelong horse girl.

I’ve spent over 20 years helping people connect with horses for the first time, and I love watching kids discover their strength, courage, and joy in the barn. Whether it’s a little one grooming a pony for the first time or a teen realizing they want to teach riding someday, these experiences stick with them—and build confidence that goes far beyond the arena.

Hell Creek isn’t a huge show barn or a fancy facility. We’re a warm, welcoming place for real families who want their kids to try something new, make new friends, and build a relationship with horses in a safe, encouraging space.

So, what do we offer this summer?

🌟 Half-day camps for ages 4–6
🌟 Full-day camps for ages 7+
🌟 Hands-on horse time, riding lessons, barn games, crafts, and more
🌟 A supportive team that truly loves what they do

Our camps are perfect for first-time riders—and many kids keep coming back year after year.

Not ready for camp? We’ve got more.

Throughout the year, Hell Creek offers weekly riding lessons, Girl Scout badge workshops, birthday parties, and special seasonal events. We believe every child deserves the chance to connect with a horse—and we make it easy, approachable, and fun.

Ready to give your child a summer they’ll never forget?
