Easter Egg Hunts Are Back!

Easter Egg Hunts are back this year!  Check out some of these exciting outdoor events coming your way this Easter season.  Most events require pre-registration, so please read the descriptions below and click on the website links for the most up-to-date information!


March 27, 2021

Lyon’s Trail Child Care Center: 3/27 @11:00 a.m.

Please join us for our Easter event featuring a special guest!! This event is open to the public! 

There will be:

*Snacks

*Surprise visit from the Easter Bunny

*Picture opps with the Easter Bunny

 

Please bring your own basket to collect eggs. All candy will be individually wrapped inside the eggs. CDC guidelines will be followed for social distancing. 

 

Carousel Acres: 3/27@ 2:00 p.m.

We will be having our annual Easter Egg Hunt on the farm.  The farm will be open to walk around and see the animals (be sure to dress warm and wear boots!!) This event is $7 per children participating in the hunt, $5 for non participants. You must pre register.

 

Hudson Mills Metropark Activity Center: 3/27@ 2:00 p.m.

Bring the kids out to hunt for Easter eggs on the festive Egg-cellent Trail! Kids will search for eggs in different themed areas. Don’t forget your camera to capture a photo of the Easter Bunny hard at work preparing for Easter. Bring a basket or bag. To collect your eggs. Dress for the weather as this will be an all outdoor event. Egg hunts will be staggered within each time slot. Please arrive on time to your time slot, we may not be able to accommodate late arrivals and we are unable to accept walk-ins. Social distancing and face coverings are required for participation.

Children 10 and under.

Time:  2 p.m. – 4 p.m. (timeslots available every 1/2 hour)

Cost: $6 per child, $6 per adult, children under 2 Free!

Location: Hudson Mills Metropark, Activity Center

April 1, 2021 

Kensington Metropark-Fun on the Farm Egg Hunt:  4/1@ 10:00 a.m.

It’s Easter at the farm! Time to have an egg scramble and see the Easter Bunny. This program is meant for novice egg hunters ages 4 years old and younger. Remember to bring a bag to take your eggs home. To ensure small groups, at registration you will choose your time slot. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time slot so you can check-in. Social distancing and face coverings are required.

Ages 2 – 6.

Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult, children under 2 Free!

Location: Kensington Metropark, Farm Center

Pre-registration is required by March 30 at 4pm.

April 3, 2021

Howell Nature Center-Easter EGGstravaganza: 4/3@ 11:00 a.m.

Hop through the festively decorated Wild Wonders Wildlife Park during an EGGciting Easter adventure! Join us for bunny station surprises, Easter egg hunts, and presentations by our wildlife EGGsperts! After your stroll through the park, head over to Alexandria's NatureScape for a special socially distanced photo with the Easter bunny, who will be safely greeting children from the Tree House.

General Admission: Adults $8 per person; Children $15 per person

Member Admission: Adults $5 per person; Children $12 per person

As always, infants 2 and under are free!

This is a RAIN, SNOW, or SHINE event, and all activities are weather dependent. Programs may be modified to accommodate changes in weather as needed.

To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we are following the below protocols:

- We will be maintaining small group sizes

- We require social distancing between unrelated groups when possible

- All HNC staff & volunteers will wear masks at all times

- Participants are required to wear masks when indoors
