Wildwood Ranch is a multi-faceted, Christian youth development organization that is owned and operated by the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. Celebrating 41 years in 2015, Wildwood Ranch has consistently offered significant, life-changing and highly regarded summer programs. We work hard to attain the highest quality programs by maintaining the highest industry standards. We do this by being both accredited by American Camp Association and licensed by the State of Michigan.
We offer overnight camps for children between the ages of 8-17 and day camp experiences for children between the ages of 4-13 every summer. Our primary goal is to expose the children and youth that we serve during the summer to opportunities and experiences that will enhance their lives, broaden their horizons and expand future opportunities. Both the overnight and day camp programs are week long.
Each activity that we offer to our campers is an opportunity to learn. Whether it’s learning something new, learning to work together, learning to share or learning how to care for themselves; we strive to make our activities to be more than just a fun activity. Activities available include the following: horses, high ropes, climbing wall, dual-zip line, pamper pole, giant swing, The Blob, water trampoline, boating, swimming, nature program, archery, arts & crafts, gaga ball, group games & more!
Wildwood Ranch recruits and hires quality college-age men and women to supervise the campers. Each staff member must complete a full background check, obtain proper certifications and complete a successful seasonal staff training modules.
