Apple Goodness: A Tasty Treat for Fall

By Kelly Pramberger September 18, 2014
Fall officially begins this month, which means trips to the apple orchard and (quite possibly) an over abundance of the fruit.

This recipe for Apple Goodness makes a delicious dip for any type of apples. Get the kids involved by letting them use an apple corer to slice the apples if they are old enough to handle that task or have them form the cream cheese ball.

Core and slice 4 to 5 apples, then assemble the dip.

Dip Ingredients:
  • 1 bar softened cream cheese
  • 1 bag of crushed Heath Bar pieces (found in the baking section of your grocery store, near the chocolate chips)
  • 1 tub of caramel
Mix the Heath Bar pieces into the cream cheese and form into a ball in the center of a platter. Pour the caramel over the top of the ball and spread the apple slices around.

Depending on the size of your crowd, you can add another bar of cream cheese. You can always adjust the amount of Heath Bar to your liking.

(Please note that I have tried this recipe using lighter versions of cream cheese and caramel but it did not taste as good! )

Enjoy!
