Bounce Preschool Academy will provide your preschooler with the tools, supplies and equipment needed for academic success. Since preschoolers learn through play, at Bounce Preschool Academy we will utilize a variety of fun but educational ways to teach your preschoolers the fundamentals that will prepare them for Kindergarten. This includes imaginative play, gross motor and gymnastics activities while utilizing our unique equipment and more while teaching the important fundamental skills for lifelong learning. Teachers support each individual child and set up activities that are child centered while promoting independence, self discovery, and socializing. Every week we will focus on content areas (math, language and literacy, fine/gross motor, music, etc) that will carry throughout the school year. During small group time the teachers will model concepts and then give your preschooler the chance to explore, discover, and learn as they try for themselves with the support and encouragement of a teacher.
Language Arts and Literacy
Preschoolers will start to recognize letters, write letters, write their name, and put sounds together for early reading. Your child will practice these concepts regularly to jump start their experience in Kindergarten. Since each child develops these skills differently, we will work with each child on their own level.
Mathematics
Preschoolers will develop and build upon early math skills. This includes identifying groups of objects, comparing less than and greater than, creating patterns, counting, and basic addition.
Science
What a better way to explore science than the laws of gravity, cause and effect, and motion with their own bodies through traditional classroom learning and gymnastics. Utilizing a kinetic approach, preschoolers will understand the universe around them and how science effects their everyday environment.
Social and Emotional Development
One of the most important component to kindergarten readiness is a child’s social and emotional skills. At Bounce Preschool Academy, our goal is to develop these skills to help them succeed. Through traditional preschool and gymnastics programming, children will learn about the importance of teamwork, cooperation, collaboration, and communication.
Gross and Fine Motor Development
Since children learn by doing, one of the best ways to develop gross and fine motor skills is in an environment conducive to rich experiences. Learning happens in the classroom, as teachers develop their fine motor hand-writing skills and it also happens on the trampoline, balance beam and tumbling track as they develop these big gross motor skills.
