Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran School

Children Are An Amazing Gift From God

August 17, 2015

Children are an amazing gift from God! You know that. That’s why you want the absolute best for them. One of the most important decisions you’ll ever make is where they’ll go to school. It would be an honor if you would consider making Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran School your partner in education. Together we will work to see your child grow spiritually, thrive academically, and mature socially.

There are many schools that boast of quality academics and qualified teachers. What sets Shepherd of the Lakes apart? It is our greatest passion to help our students understand that they have been made by a God who loves them and has a great purpose for their lives. A Shepherd of the Lakes education will help them grow into solid citizens, committed workers, and loving family members. In a world that seems to be constantly changing and confusing, Christ-centered schools like Shepherd of the Lakes can provide a firm foundation and trusty compass for their lives.

Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran School is a licensed, Christian preschool. Students pray, hear Bible stories, and sing as part of Christian instruction with the goal of strengthening each child’s faith in Jesus. Students attend music class and chapel every week. Handwriting Without Tears, a curriculum designed by occupational therapists and early childhood experts, provides hands-on activities to boost language, literacy, and math skills. Field trips and special events offer more learning opportunities.

Our three-year-old class meets from 9:00am until 11:30am, two, three, or five days a week. Students must be 3 years old by December 1.

Our four-year-old class meets from 9:00am until 11:30am, two, three, or five days a week. Students must be 4 years old by December 1.

Our prekindergarten class meets from 8:45am until 11:45am, five days a week. Students must be 4 years old by June 1. This class is excellent for those young 5s as well as for those older four-year-olds as it is more challenging than the four-year-old preschool class.

Extended care is offered from 7:30am until 6:00pm, giving parents flexibility.

Our teachers are experienced, caring professionals who enjoy being in the classroom with young students.

Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran School also offers half-day kindergarten, full-day kindergarten, and grades one through eight.

We are proud to offer a Christ-centered, academically sound educational experience while continuing to be one of the most financially affordable private schools in the Brighton area.
